Timber treatment and How to care for your shed
Your garden shed will be treated free with a solvent based timber preservative which will initially protect your shed.
You should treat the exterior of your shed soon as possible after your shed has been assembled.
You should also treat the door and roof on the inside of the shed with the same preservative.
Garden sheds should be treated with the correct timber preservative every 12 months. Some timber preservatives are not suitable for timber which is exposed to exterior conditions. Before you buy your preservative read the instructions on the tin which should say: For use on exterior planed timber.
Condensation can be a problem in garden sheds treating your shed with the correct preservative reduces the risk of condensation.
